Request a Grant Writer

Grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 to USA nonprofit organizations for technology purchases. Funds may be used to purchase software, hardware, or services. Consideration will be given to proposals that will address specific issues, make improvements, and strengthen organizations.

Given national IT needs of non-profits and the broad criteria, TechGrant awards are extremely competitive.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grants will range from $5,000 to $25,000 (all in cash) per grantee. It is expected that total funding will range from $100,000 to $400,000.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

In order to apply for a TechGrant, your organization must have IRS 501(c)(3) public charity status and be current on Guidestar. Charity Navigator reviews are also part of the review process.

Your organization must provide services without discrimination on the basis of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, age, religion, national or ethnic origin, or physical disability.

None of the funds of the grant may be used for lobbying or any activity that might be construed to be lobbying.

No overhead is allowable.

- October 30, 2019: Successful grantees contacted
- December 1, 2019: Grants announced
- January 2020: Payment of grants

- December 31, 2020: Final reports due

One of the objectives in implementing this grant program is to draw attention to the need for additional investments in the area of nonprofit technology. As such, several media/communication activities that are part of the award acceptance process are planned including a press release, web announcement, and reciprocal web links.
