In-kind services to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations for branding development, marketing strategies, website design, and creative services. The goal of the program is to help charitable organizations strengthen their marketing and branding efforts through:

- Brand assessment and development
- Identity design or logo refresh
- Name exploration and collaboration
- Marketing materials (brochures, newsletters, annual reports, appeals)
- Event branding (luncheons, galas, festivals)
- Campaign development (awareness, messaging, capital, membership)
- WordPress web site design and development
- Digital and social media graphics

Causality offers both full (pro bono) and matching (partial, funding requirement of 50%) service grants to help nonprofits and good causes access Causality services at no or low cost. Causality helps organizations build their “toolbox” of dynamic and sustainable communications elements, and empowers them to use these tools, thus elevating their brands and enhancing their ability to serve.

GrantWatch ID#:

GrantWatch ID#: 174265

Number of Grants:

One full grant will be awarded per granting period.

Estimated Size of Grant:

A full (pro bono) grant recipient receives branding/marketing services at no cost for the services requested.

A matching (partial, funding requirement of 50%) grant recipient receives branding/marketing services at half the cost of the services requested.

There is no specific dollar amount for the full grant since it is a service grant that encompasses the full range of brand marketing and creative services that is provided on a regular basis. It does not cover out-of-pocket expenses such as printing, postage, hosting, etc. nor does it provide actual dollars to pay for services outside of Causality’s range of services. The advisory committee chooses one applicant to receive the full scope of services they’ve applied for at no cost to them, much like a pro bono project. In the past the values (for full and matching) have ranged from $1,000 to $40,000.

Term of Contract:

Grant projects are expected to begin within 30 days of award notification and completed within 3 to 6 months of start date, depending on the scope of the project.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

This opportunity is available for a broad range of organizations and causes that contribute to the greater good… including 501(c)(3) nonprofits, social enterprises, education, faith-based and other “mission-driven” organizations including start-up nonprofits who have not yet filed for 501(c)(3) status.

The Brand grant does not cover out-of-pocket expenses such as printing, postage, hosting, video production, etc. nor does it provide actual dollars to pay for services outside of Causality’s range of services.

Pre-Application Information:

Summer 2019 grant calendar:
- July 8, 2019: Grant launch
- August 9, 2019 – Application deadline
- August 16, 2019 – Grant awards

If you have an urgent need prior to award date, have an RFP you’d like to have considered under this grant program or are needing an alternate timeline, please make contact for assistance. These requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

You can apply for both a full and matching grant at the same time on the same application. If your application is not chosen to receive a full grant it will automatically be considered for remaining matching grants.

You can apply for a brand grant for more than one project.

For the Matching Grant, the organization is required to fund half the value of the services requested. Funding can come from the organization or from other sources. Many grant recipients have utilized the matching grant opportunity for outside funding—allowing them to receive the full scope of services at no cost to their organization.
