Grants of up to $2,500 to Mississippi emerging and working filmmakers to support film projects. The purpose of this program is to promote the development of video and film artists as the next generation of storytellers. In addition to cash funding, grantees will receive waivers to film festivals across the state.

The Mississippi Film Alliance (MFA) will work with the filmmaker to provide waivers to film festivals in the state and ask permission to showcase the project on the MFVA website and video channels. The Foundation will work with the filmmaker depending on distribution or timelines of when to place online.

Festival Waivers: Festival partners that provide waivers to grant recipients include: Oxford Film Festival, Crossroads Film Festival, Tupelo Film Festival, Magnolia Film festival, AfterGlow Film Festival, Rails to Reels Film Festival, Festival South Film Expo, Clarksdale Film Festival and It's About You Film Festival.

MFA requires the filmmaker to fill 50% of their cast and crew positions with Mississippi residents and to produce their project in Mississippi.
